YEAH! #ErasmusDays and Quotes about famous people

During the #ErasmusDays our students did work on famous quotes from famous people in the areas we worked on in the project: healthy food, sports, environment, personal relationships, responsible use of mobile devices and cyber-bullying.

Two of these sentences are those we have inserted in our photographs for the 2021 calendar.

"The human spirit must prevail over technology" (Albert Einstein).

"Technology is only a tool. In terms of getting children to work together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important" (Bill Gates).

Our students did small research papers which they presented to their colleagues from Italy, Lithuania and Slovenia at our first online meeting. Our collaborative work as a school has consisted of bringing all their productions together in one online site. The Bookcreator tool has allowed us to do this and now we are pleased to show you the final result. We hope that you will enjoy reading it.

School Education Gateway: It offers news, articles by education experts, seminars and online courses, participation in surveys, provides quality teaching materials, mobility opportunities in KA1 projects...

Selfie: Platform for evaluating the use we are making of digital media at the centre. It is a free resource.

Learning Zone: Ofrece actividades secuenciadas por edades sobre la Unión Europea.

Erasmus+ Results Platform

SESSION 7: BUDGET ITEMS. MANAGEMENT AND JUSTIFICATION

Important items for our project are:
  • Management and execution of the Project: To support the realization of the project. It is very important that these expenses are made during the period of execution of the project. The management item cannot be increased but these funds can be used in other budget items. Management costs are: Attendance to training days, mobility costs derived from internal activities (hosting of partners), insurance coverage for participants (clause 1.7), activities aimed at promoting sustainability, graphic or printed material, posters, consumables, good practice manuals, website, meetings, conferences...
  • Learning, teaching and training activities: Item intended for the mobility of students and/or teachers. This item can be increased by the item Management and execution of the project. If we have money left over on the basis of real costs, we can use it on the basis of any expenditure of the project. If because of the Covid-19 it is not possible to carry out a mobility, up to 10% of this item can be transferred to "Exceptional costs" to be able to carry it out as a virtual mobility. The aid paid per participant is 15% of the individual aid granted for mobility.
    • Travel: Travel assistance.
    • Individual support: Accommodation and meals

SESSION 8: THE LIFE OF THE PROJECT THROUGH THE MOBILITY TOOL+

The Mobility Tool+ cannot be accessed until the agreement is signed by both parties (school headmaster and SEPIE). Link to access the tool

Mobility Tool+ Guide for KA229: The guide can be found in the section Documentation - School Exchange Associations KA229.

With the Covid-19 situation we can propose to carry out virtual mobilities documenting the whole process. These mobilities should not be included in the Mobility tool+ for the time being. If the situation changes this year or next year, we could start planning the face-to-face mobilities, which are the ones we should plan in the Mobility tool+. In the worst case scenario, if the situation does not improve and we are still unable to travel, we will already have the mobilities done and they will be the ones we declare in the Mobility tool.

Activities affected by Covid-19: Update on health measures and FAQs on the impact of the pandemic.

Spanish Agency Training Session: Post 1

From 22nd to 28th October, the Spanish National Agency is giving us the "Initial Training Days for Erasmus+ 2020 KA229 School Exchange Association Projects". Due to the health crisis the sessions are being held virtually and as evidence of our online participation in them both in this post on the official project blog and in eTwinning or our centre's website we will be reflecting the most important aspects of our project.

All the sessions with the videos and presentations can be found on the page of our National Agency and by clicking on the following link.

SESSION 1: WHO ARE WE? THE RESULTS OF THE 2020 CALL.

From the first session it is worth noting that our centre is one of the 657 that have achieved an Erasmus+ KA229 Project. In our case we are going as partners.

A total of 852 projects have been approved and our country is the third in terms of projects selected. Italy stands out with 1,024 projects. Nearly 6.000 boys and girls will participate in short-term exchanges such as the ones we have designed in our application.

SESSION 2: THE EXPECTED IMPACT OF A SCHOOL EXCHANGE PARTNERSHIP KA229.

In the second video, Andrés Ajo, Director of SEPIE (Spanish Agency) explains the types of mobilities that exist in the KA229 projects. In our project we have two types of transnational activities:

  • Joint training events. The object is not the discussion of the project, they are not transnational coordination meetings.
  • Short exchanges of groups of learners. They are not mere cultural exchanges or study trips. The aim is to work together on activities linked to the objectives of the partnership. With the health crisis we are encouraged to carry out activities of the online type.
In our case Italy is our coordinating team and we as partners have to sign an agreement with our National Agency from which we receive the grant directly. Our budget is 250 euros per month.

A good project is built day by day from local and virtual activities.

It is important that we take into account the report of the project quality evaluation.

Impact refers to the effect that activities have on people, practices, organizations and systems. It is important that we reflect this in the final report. In projects of our kind we have to look for impact on participants and on schools. An example of this would be the improvement of common spaces for carrying out activities; different forms of time organisation; changes in methodology motivated by activities or tasks that require project work; collaboration with associations... We can measure the impact through surveys that measure the satisfaction of the project and its activities. Impact analysis is very important and has a 40% weight in the evaluation of the Final Report.

The evaluation of good practices considers 6 criteria: Impact, transferability, innovation, sustainability, communication, communication and management.

SESSION 3: MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF PROJECTS IN TIMES OF PANDEMIC BY COVID-19

Due to the pandemic situation we may have to make some adaptations in our projects. From our Agency these are the proposals:
  • Transforming short exchanges into virtual meetings.
  • Flexibility to change the timing, to change types of activities, to virtualize some activities, budget to change items and force majeure for unforeseen events.
A new clause on virtual activities has been added to the Convention containing a number of rules. If we virtualize an activity we would not have travel money. From individual support we could use up to 15%. The amount for the days of travel before and after would not exist either. If we had any real cost for any student with special educational needs, we could spend money from any item to cover this need.
